We posted a video on Facebook on July 1st of Nathan and Nurie announcing their new courtship!! We could not be MORE thrilled at God’s goodness to us. Nathan is SUCH an answer to our fervent prayers for God to bring a GODLY mate into Nurie’s life! \ud83d\ude0a Let us officially introduce Nathan Keller. \ud83d\udc99<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n Nathan is the 7th child (of 8 children), son to Mike and Suzette \nKeller. Mike and Suzette are AMAZING people and parents and we DEEPLY \nlove them! \ud83d\ude0a\ud83d\udc99\ud83d\udc96\n They love God with a passion and work full time in prison ministry \nalong with other facets of ministry. They LOVE the Lord with their \nwhole hearts and have trained their children to do the same. \ud83d\ude0a\n We have visited them at their cozy, Florida home (where Nathan \ncurrently resides) nearly every year when on our singing tour South each\n winter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lord put a \nseed of interest in both Nathan and Nurie’s hearts and they each (with \nhonor) sought their parents advice and blessing. Both sets of parents \ncould not be more THRILLED! \ud83d\ude01<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n They both entered a phase of “getting to know each other” and then \nrecently Nathan asked David’s permission to “officially” begin to court \nNurie. \ud83d\ude0a\ud83d\udc96 We are thrilled to see what the future holds! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n Nathan has proven to be a prayer warrior and has SUCH a love for God \nand spiritual focus in his life. He has earned his bachelor of theology\n degree through IBBC (International Baptist Bible College). His heart’s\n desire is to serve God full time. For now though, he serves with his \ndad in his ministry; is heavily involved with the youth at his church; \nand is busy running (with his brother David) an awesome lawn care \nbusiness (along with many other areas of service). He is SUCH a hard \nworker and we are BEYOND blessed to have Nathan in Nurie’s (and our) \nlives. He is SO kind, respectful, thoughtful, a gentleman, etc. \ud83d\ude0a <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nathan has 7 siblings. Let us introduce them. \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1st born – Esther Shrader<\/a> (mom to 11 and is a missionary with her faithful husband to Africa). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2nd born – Rebekah Hunt (mom to 2 and lives with her loving husband in Texas).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3rd born- Daniel Keller (married and lives in Texas.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4th born- Priscilla Waller (mom to 4 and is in full time ministry in Texas with her cheerful husband David). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5th born – Anna Duggar (mom to 5 children and lives with her husband Josh in Arkansas). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

6th born – Susanna Keller<\/a> (mom to one cute daughter and is engaged to be married…how exciting)! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

7th born – Nathan \ud83d\udc99\ud83d\udc99\ud83d\udc99\ud83d\udc99\ud83d\udc99\ud83d\udc99\ud83d\udc99\ud83d\udc99<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8th born – single younger brother David. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What a PRECIOUS family this is and we are grateful God brought Nathan into our lives!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About 3 weeks ago, Nurie got these flowers from Nathan- delivered to our door, signifying the start to their courtship. \ud83d\ude42 Then, when we were in Georgia for Hosanna and Timothy Noble’s wedding, Nathan came to visit for a couple days. \ud83d\ude0a\ud83d\udc99 It was LOVELY for us all (but especially Nurie \ud83d\ude09) to spend time with him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We went out for coffee one evening, shared our hearts and Nathan made it even more official and special by presenting to Nurie this gorgeous necklace! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cross and Heart…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n “The cross in the middle of the heart is to convey that Jesus Christ \nMUST be the center of our relationship…and as we keep Jesus center in \nour relationship, that our love for each other would grow.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diamonds…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The little diamonds are to represent ‘light’.” (Because they are so sparkly). \ud83d\ude0a *Side note…Nurie’s name means “light”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

White Gold…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n “The white gold is to represent the need for purity in our \nrelationship.” *Side note…Nurie’s middle name is Katelin…meaning \n“pure”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nathan’s words again…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It represents the meaning of your name- ‘PURE LIGHT’. \ud83d\ude0a I desire our relationship to be a pure light and example to others.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wow….oh….wow! Nathan, you are a blessing! \ud83d\udc99\ud83d\udc99\ud83d\udc99<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, right before Nathan left, he presented Nurie with ANOTHER dozen and a half roses! Wow! Nurie is blessed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It blesses my heart MORE than I could EVER express to see my children love each other. \ud83d\ude0a\u2764\n Rejoice with each other. Praise each other. Timothy is SO busy \nlearning to fly, yet he takes the time to send this sweet message to \nNurie…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not sure what “courtship” means? Let us explain. Courtship is not \ndating. LOL. Dating allows for young people to “play the field” and \nflirt with any opposite sex person they find attractive…even if they \nwould not intend to marry them. \ud83e\udd14\n It is a fleshly, carnal practice that has led the masses into \nfornication and \/ or divorce in the long run. We are NOT saying it always\n ends this way, but often it does. Guys and girls go off on a date with\n no chaperone to hold them accountable for their actions. They (with no\n seeming guilt) kiss and have each others hands all over one another. \nWhen they “tire” of that person or have their first big fight, they dump\n them to go find someone better??? You see, this can set up habits that\n in the future could lead to divorce. \ud83d\ude22 This depicts “dating” in a nutshell. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now to explain courting…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n It is SAVING yourself physically AND emotionally for the right one \nsomeday. It is a practice where both the guy and girl walk \ncircumspectly, sober minded and focused on the Lord and their goals, \nwhile praying fervently for God to bring the “right one” into their life\n in His timing. It is WAITING until both parties are at a point they \nare READY for marriage, both in age, education and in job status (for \nthe guy). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Courtship does NOT mean you can’t have interest in \nothers, but always making sure to view through the lenses of “marriage \nmaterial”?? If they do not line up with your values, faith, morality, \netc. Then you would hold them at a proper distance and treat them kindly\n as Christ would, yet putting up guards to protect yourself from \ndeveloping a relationship any deeper than that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In courtship, \nonce you think you may have found the “right one”, you seek parental \nand\/or spiritual leadership counsel and their blessing and then go into a\n time of “getting to know” one another. This period of time is to see \nwhether or not your faith and convictions line up and whether or not \nthere is mutual physical and personality attraction. Once you determine\n a peace on all those points, it proceeds to an official “courtship”. \ud83d\ude01\u2764<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n This phase is to cultivate a special relationship with one another that\n puts God first and foremost in the relationship. Then comes \nengagement, then marriage. It is a pure process that puts in place \nchaperones when the couple may be alone so that the physical end of the \nrelationship is saved for after marriage. This way, if anything goes \nawry in the relationship, there are no regrets physically. It calls for \nPurity. Godliness. Christ as the center and striving to become a \npowerful “duo” for the cause of Christ!! \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This explains courtship and it is what we pray all of our children will choose. \ud83d\ude01\u2764\ud83d\udc99<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Nathan left, we all waved goodbye to him until we could see his car no longer. It was sad to see him drive away. He has become SO precious to our family! \ud83d\ude0a\u2764 Sofia (just turned 4 years old) even said he is her “best bud”! This is his vehicle driving away. \ud83d\ude0a <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The REASON our family was in Georgia, was for Nurie to be in her best friend’s wedding! It was a GLORIOUS day! CONGRATULATIONS, Timothy and Hosanna Noble!! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are here! \ud83d\ude01\ud83d\udc96 Nurie is so honored to be a bridesmaid in Timothy Noble and Hosanna Plath’s wedding tomorrow. Tonight is rehearsal night. So exciting! Check out this GORGEOUS church in Georgia! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
