Dearest Ladies at Lighthouse Baptist Church,<\/p>\n

Hello,my name is Jill Rodrigues.\u00a0 I am a mother to 11 children and I am due with number 12 in July 2015!\u00a0 I got married to my dear husband – David Rodrigues- on October 4, 1997 sharing our first kiss on that special day!! \u00a0 When we first married, we lived in NYC and helped start 2 different churches there.\u00a0 During that time, by husband\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

was still working a full-time job and decided he did not want to raise his family in NYC.\u00a0 So, when I was expecting our 3rd baby, we moved back to upstate NY (Elmira area) and became active members in a church in that area.\u00a0 My husband taught the Young Married Couples Class for about 11 years there.\u00a0 We were always heavily involved in ministry, but my husband continued to work a full-time job in the commercial print-shop industry with sometimes adding a part time job to the mix.\u00a0 We always wanted to be in full-time ministry, but we were just praying for God’s timing regarding when that would happen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Well, finally God opened a door to us to help out a printing ministry named Lighthouse \"100_5828\"<\/a>Publications.\u00a0 We were excited that God finally opened up the door for my husband to print full-time for the Lord and for us to enter full-time ministry.\u00a0 My husband gave up his part time job and his full-time job.\u00a0 We worked with Lighthouse Publications for about a year and a half.\u00a0 This was a stepping stone for us to be led to the next ministry we helped with – Gleaning for Christ Missions.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
We moved to West Virginia to help out this printing ministry.\u00a0 To move to WV, was a huge change for us because we had lived in the state of NY our whole lives.\u00a0 We worked with Gleaning for Christ Missions for about 2 years.\u00a0 Being involved in both of these printing ministries really gave my husband David even more of a knowledge of the ministry side of printing.\u00a0 He was already an excellent pressman, but now he was enhanced by these 2 “stepping stones” God had placed in our path to give us an even deeper knowledge in these areas.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\"100_5952\"<\/a>We then began to pray about what was the next step for us.\u00a0 David felt that God was leading us to branch out and start our own Family Ministry named – Rodrigues Family Ministries.\u00a0 Which involved the following: \u00a0 \u00a0We call them the 3 “p’s” – \u00a0 Printing, Praising, & Preaching.\u00a0 We purchased a 38 ft. long RV, gave up our rental home, and went on the road full-time.\u00a0 We sing and play several instruments as a family and that is what the “praising” stands for.\u00a0 We are raising support to eventually get a house and garage and start our own printing ministry to print Gospel tracts and Gospel Portions and that is what the “printing” stands for.\u00a0 David preaches as he has opportunity to when we travel and that is what the “preaching” stands for.\u00a0 The 3 P’s!!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Although we were excited to embrace and follow this new calling God had called us unto, it was not without challenges and discouragement at times.\u00a0 We have peace that this is the final step to finalizing what our forever ministry will be.\u00a0\u00a0 We know that this was a decision we made with God’s leading.\u00a0 The process to find a home suitable for our needs has been a slow one.\u00a0 But, finally, we have found a house.<\/div>\n
My greatest challenge in keeping with your theme of “Am I Willing to Go?” is this……………………....<\/div>\n

I want to stand behind my husband and his decisions.\u00a0 I enjoy and am blessed that God\"100_5614\"<\/a><\/p>\n

has called us into full-time ministry.\u00a0 BUT………….it has not been without sacrifice.\u00a0 I (we) gave up everything we knew to move to a different state and then, we even gave up the home that we had in WV to give even a bit more of ourselves to God.\u00a0 We have tried to witness; see souls saved; train up a godly generation (our children) for the Lord and encourage others to do the same; praise God through our song; proclaim truth on various radio stations; etc. etc.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
When you are pouring your life into finding as many avenues as you can to serve the Lord, you sometimes expect that God will pour back on you the blessings of a lifetime.\u00a0 But, sometimes God wants to see how much we are willing to sacrifice for His Name’s \"100_5973\"<\/a>sake.\u00a0 With a new baby on the way, I became almost desperate to get into a house!\u00a0 These were worries I let riddle me and cause me unrest. Where was God?\u00a0 Did He care about me and our family?\u00a0 It seemed the 5 years since we went into full-time ministry, there was constant sacrifices and difficulties.\u00a0 Our every need was met and we never went hungry, but I wanted to see God work to satisfy my every want too!!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u00a0 Finally one night on my bed, when the rest of the family was asleep, I surrendered it all to the Lord.\u00a0 Why was my heart so filled with selfishness?\u00a0 Why (when others have \"079\"<\/a>sacrificed SO much more than me) was I not willing to give it all to God?\u00a0 I have shed many tears and still sometimes struggle with the sacrifices we make on the road, but I know that my heart is surrendered to God’s will.\u00a0 May my difficulties bring glory to an almighty God!\u00a0 May HE be seen through MY weakness!\u00a0 May it show others that HIS grace IS sufficient in times of weakness! \u00a0\u00a02Co 12:9 “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” \u00a0All the praise and Glory belongs to God and God alone!!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Sometimes even others judgement of us that we would cram a family that large into such small quarters, was tough on me.\u00a0 I wanted others to think we were the best possible parents!\u00a0 We know how hard we try to give our children the best.\u00a0 But, people are entitled to their own opinion and I would get discouraged at negative remarks cast our way.\u00a0 It was then that I remembered that I needed to bring my surrender even a step further.\u00a0 I needed to not worry what man thought of me………….only God.\u00a0 Pr 29:25 \u00b6 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.<\/div>\n

Now, I must say that my husband cares deeply about taking the best care of his family as possible!\u00a0 In the time of waiting, I want to run my race well.\u00a0 I want to look back on this time in my life and know that I did my best to rest content in God’s will for my life. \u00a0\u00a0Heb 13:5 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
