Dearest Family and Friends,
The mere English word – “Thank You” – does NOT seem adequate enough to express to EACH of you our DEEPEST gratitude for rallying together and helping us during a VERY hard time for our family! We are BEYOND grateful to the Lord for sparing our precious girls lives!! But secondly, we are THRILLED at how God provided our needs of the losses from the accident! He has TRULY proven to us that HE owns the cattle on a thousand hills, the wealth in every mine!! Praise Jesus! Our faith has GREATLY been increased.
We thank EACH and every one of you for your generous donations you gave to help us get a car. However, God miraculously provided a car through a giving lady at our church. Now, we are using the money Nurie raised to make the car tow-able. We have to purchase a tow dolly and that will cost approx. $3,000. So, we THANK YOU for the money donated. You have shown us the grace of God and reminded us that our labor in the ministry is not in vain!
My SWEET Nurie’s heart has been GREATLY encouraged and I have seen her smile and heard her giggle more now that she saw how MIGHTY God showed up on her behalf!!
“Nurie, you are SUCH an amazing and humble and kind and thoughtful woman in our home! We love you and Kaylee and all the rest of your siblings with our WHOLE heart!! Thank you for ALL your hard work that you attribute to our home. You are an INCREDIBLE asset to our ministry and home!” Love, Mama (and Daddy too)
Nurie and Kaylee had gifts, flowers, etc. showered on them during this hard time. It was SO sweet and reminded them of how LOVED they are by fellow Christians. THANK YOU, everyone, for loving on our girls as they recovered.
**This all was posted on Facebook in the days following the accident…………
Still VERY sore and tired girls. They still did not want to sleep alone in their bedrooms last night, so it was a special movie and Key Lime Pie last night. Ymmm! I (Mama) also went out and bought them each a new dress and replaced Kaylee’s ruined Bible and ruined clothing from the accident.
It has even been hard for ME to sleep. Nurie just keeps recounting to me the trauma of when she nearly drowned and what went through her head at that moment. My Mama heart nearly breaks in two. Tears are pooled in my eyes now as I type.
I wish SO badly I could wipe away ALL her (and Kaylee’s) emotional and physical pain.
Our neighbor sent us this picture of when the car was in the ditch / creek. This spot on our road SURE sombers me! Every time we go by it! I think, “That is where my girls almost died!” God is SO good and merciful!
It was a VERY tearful reunion when the girls and Amy saw each other for the first time after the girls’ accident. They all cried together. Kevin and Amy had a KEEN understanding of what they went through.
Nurie recounted to us….”When I was hanging upside down, head first in the water, I tried SO hard to get out, but my buckle had me secured too tightly and I was SO confused what position I was in. I KEPT trying to thrash and reach for something to grasp to pull myself up, but was totally trapped.”
Nurie told me, “Mama, I thought, ‘If I can just get through this pain and panicked feel, then I will be in Heaven. But, I don’t want to die yet’!” It was about the time she began to gulp water and pass out, Kaylee rescued her.
Kaylee will FOREVER be my hero!
STILL REJOICING at God’s Goodness! -Jill
So, who watched our LIVE video on Facebook revealing the MIRACULOUS way that God provided a NEW car for our family! Again, We are BEYOND grateful! Thank you to the DEAR lady from our church that gave it to us (who wishes to remain anonymous)! Words cannot express our gratitude!
Nurie is still trying to raise a bit more money to make the car “tow-able” to pull behind our RV.
If you feel burdened to help her get the money we need for that, please click on the link below. She will be closing the GOFUNDME donations down on Friday!
Thank you again and we love you all!
