Our beautiful daughter – Nurie – GRADUATES!

To Our Precious Daughter – Nurie……..

LSP_2845We are SO pleased to announce that our SWEET Nurie will be graduating from High school this June. We have home schooled her from the start and she has been a JOY to raise and SO obedient and pleasant!!

David and I have said OVER and OVER that we are SO thankful for the GODLY example she sets to her younger siblings! She has exemplified EXTREME diligence in every area of her life and for that, we will FOREVER be grateful to her.

We are thankful that Nurie is a chaste, virtuous woman that has EVERY desire to serve LSP_2838God her WHOLE life long and to stay pure until she marries “Mr. Right”…….

Nurie fervently prays for the man of her dreams to come into her life in GOD’S timing. Until then, she is TRULY a very content person. Nurie plans to continue to travel and sing with her family. We are thankful for that, because she is one of our most musical children. It will leave a gaping whole when she is gone. LSP_2857 Also, Nurie looks forward to investing more time in her younger siblings and helping her Mama homeschool them.

Nurie is planning to go on a Missions’ Trip to Botswana, Africa with David (her Dad) and some others in January of 2018. She is in the middle of raising the money for that trip. JUST for the plane ticket, it will cost Nurie at least $1,600. YIKES!

To be honest, with being on the road so often, Nurie has very few ways to raise much money. If anyone would like to consider (for a graduation gift) sending her money to help cover the cost of her missions’ trip, I KNOW you would bless Nurie’s heart beyond words!LSP_2828

So as you can see, while Nurie looks VERY forward to the wedding of her dreams someday, she plans to keep herself busy in the work of the Lord until that joyous day comes.

We are THRILLED that Nurie’s desire to find a GODLY young man is VERY important to her. We asked her to compose a list (before she graduated) of a list of attributes that she has prayed about finding in a young man.LSP_2820

It blesses our hearts to share that list with you below………

“What I Am Looking For In My Future Husband”

-A man that is godly and who will follow God’s will for his life – NO MATTER WHAT!!

-Someone that stands on the same convictions / standards that I do.
A. Believes in the KJV Bible as the preserved Word of God.
B. Has a high dress standard. (Ladies wear skirts and overall modest apparel for both the man and woman).LSP_2801
C. Letting God control my womb in how many children He gives us.
D. Believing that my husband should lead the home.
E. Believing in godly, conservative music that honors God, rather than my flesh.
F.Being faithful to church and understanding that “home church” is not Biblical according to – Hebrews 10:25
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
G. Believing that home schooling any future children God may give us, is the best plan according to – Psalms 1:1 “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”

-A man that has a heart to win lost souls for Jesus.

-A man that has kept himself pure.

***To any younger girls out there, we hope this inspires you to wait for God’s BEST for you! LSP_2775

Nurie, our special first born, you are our angel – sent from God above to our home. We want to cherish each moment that God allows you to stay in our home until the day we walk you down the aisle. We are thankful for your EXTREME maturity as the oldest of 12 children and your flexibility to sometimes stressful, busy situations. You are a blessing to us. We are thankful for all the delicious meals that you cook for our large family and for the scrumptious desserts you bake us. Ymmm!LSP_2757

We don’t know how else to honor you at this joyous time of your graduation (coming up) other than to tell you – YOU ARE PRICELESS to us and we will pray for you until the day you die!!

Forever With Love, Daddy and MamaLSP_2736LSP_2709

Bring Back the Salt!! (Feb. 2017)

(Please read the following article – remembering that there are varying controversies on whether or not the facts of Target & Starbucks are accurate.  We have had personal friends testify that they ARE true, however, others have said otherwise.  This we DO know – that these two establishments actively support the Gay and Lesbian movement and also the transgender bathroom act.  This – in of itself – is enough to keep us away from these stores.)

Did you all recently hear the BAD news that the store – TARGET- decided to STOP selling Bibles?? 🙁 Also, did you hear that the coffee shop – STARBUCKS – decided to put pictures of President Trump on their floors for people to “walk on” in disrespect?!! We are GRIEVED at the state of many wicked people in this nation. If you are reading this, we strongly encourage you to NOT give these places of business YOUR business. They openly support the gay movement. No wonder they don’t want Bibles on their shelves – it CLEARLY states in them that sodomy is WRONG!!

We recently have had some scary things happen to us as we continue to take a strong stand for Christ and the truths in His Word. Are we perfect?? NO! So far from it. However, when all you do is simply state TRUTH from God’s Word, people shout out and accuse you of the following – “Holier than thou, Self Righteous, Prideful, Not loving and gracious, etc. etc.” It amazes us how simple TRUTH from God’s Word is met with MUCH RESISTANCE from Christians themselves. So Sad! No wonder revival seems a dim hope of ever happening. 🙁

What scary things have happened?? Well, on Facebook and Twitter, we have actually had death threats against us, we have had a live sex scene video sent to us, (BEWARE when opening a video if you don’t know what it is!!), we have had nude, teen girl site sent to us, etc. We GASP in dismay and quickly BLOCK and REPORT these people! We put safeguards up and our children do NOT have their own phones…until it is necessary for them to have them when they get older. Parents, PROTECT your children! STAND for Right! Shout it from the roof-tops! Do you want a country that continues to preserve our freedoms?? It starts with the Christians. Are you willing to take IMMENSE criticism for your stand for righteousness? You should be! ****Remember the Scriptures that state – 2Ti 3:12 “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”

In comparison to persecuted Christians in other countries, we have it SO good here in America. However, when we don’t suffer some form of persecution, we should question whether or not we are TRULY living godly? Living godly convicts others of their apathy and perhaps sin in their own lives. Hence, you WILL suffer their disdain.

You know, as we travel, we go from church to church and sit under many revival services and hear of the LONGED for hope of REVIVAL in this sinful world. Yet, we turn a blind eye to the sin in our own lives. Christian women dress no better than whores did 75 years ago. Men aren’t men in their homes anymore. Women don’t submit to their husbands anymore. We watch FILTH on the TV screen day after day. We don’t take a stand on the preserved Word of God – the KJV 1611. We drink alcohol and ignorantly argue that – Jesus turned water into wine! We complain that some transgender men are starting to dress like women, YET….ladies started dressing like men (wearing pants) close to 100 years ago. We listen to music that is NOT God honoring. We view children as a burden and take the decision of how many we will have RIGHT out of the hands of God. We have a WEAK faith that God will provide our every need. And, the list goes on.

Are we about LOVE and CHARITY? YES!! We love on people and even have some close friends that do not see eye to eye with us on every issue. Charity is very important as the Word of God also states- 1Co 13:1 ¶ Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Showing the LOVE of Christ to others is CRUCIAL! Having a non-judgmental spirit towards others is CRUCIAL! NOT having a legalistic spirit about you, is CRUCIAL!

God has given us liberty in choosing how each of us will live our lives for Him. HOWEVER, stating TRUTH in love, is also JUST AS CRUCIAL. We have become sissies when it comes to stating truth from God’s Word! We fear man, rather than God! Pr 29:25 ¶ The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

Being a Christian is not all about rules and what we cannot do. However, if we follow God’s guidelines, written clearly in His Word- We can ASSURE you, you will be GLAD 🙂 you did when kneeling before Him someday! It is a life of TRUE joy and peace.

As John R. Rice stated once – “Do right til the stars fall!!!”

Let’s bring back some SALTY Christians to this great Nation and God bless America!!

Bed Bugs! Oh No!! (Jan. 2017)

Bed Bugs?? Oh No!!

In December we had a weekend worth of meetings. David decided rather than to uproot my parents (who live in our RV when we are home and live in our home when we are traveling in our RV) who had just settled into our RV – while their new home is under construction – we would just travel to our point of destination and get a hotel room for the night.

We were all anticipating the change of pace and packed our van and luggage trailer and headed out for 2 different meetings we had in Kentucky. I went into the weekend TOTALLY exhausted from getting ready for the trip. So, when we got to the hotel, we quickly settled all 14 of our beds and spread our things out so that we were organized to be able to quickly get ready for church the next morning.

My husband then headed to the church with my boys and our friend Ben (who had his own room) to get all our instruments and sound system set up while the girls and I took a stroll to a nearby Cracker Barrel to Christmas shop in their gift shop. We finished and headed back to our room. We took baths and all got cozy in our pajamas.

My husband called and told us he was on his way back with pizza. YMM! We all ate, cleaned up the mess, and got cozied in for the night. Once every last person was tucked in and nearly asleep, I finally made a trip to the bathroom, took a sip of water and with GREAT anticipation, pulled back the hotel bed spread and clean white sheets. The hotel was nice and upon arriving we had noticed the CLEAN smell!

However, when I pulled back those sheets, I glanced down and there, to my GREAT dismay, was a bug crawling!!!!! My heart began RACING and I immediately FLEW out of the bed! I had no idea what bed bugs looked like because (praise the Lord) we had never had them before. So, I ran and got a tissue and promptly squished that ugly thing!!

Then, I got my phone and did a quick search as to what bed bugs looked like. The bug fit the description perfectly…….with even a reddish hue to its body – indicating it has just had a nice meal of human blood!! YIKES!! PANIC!! NERVOUS BREAKDOWN POINT!!

I had heard HORRIBLE things about bed bugs and how difficult they are to get rid of once infestation occurs. My sleep deprived, aching, weary body hardly knew how to process my fears and disgust!

SO, I picked up the hotel phone and called the front desk.

“Front desk. How can I help you?”

“Hi, yes,” I responded, “I am calling to tell you that I just found a BUG in my bed!!”

Pause…..”I’ll be right there”, she responded.

The sound of my voice calling on the phone, awoke my husband and he FLEW out of his bed. “WHAT?!!” he exclaimed. He then studied the dead bug that now several of us were intently staring at lying dead on the crisp white sheets.

We continued to try to keep the small children sleeping so that they could be as rested as possible in the morning. However, the thought of tiny, blood sucking bugs crawling all over my babies was a skin-crawling, MORBID thought. My hands kept flying up to my head as I would itch and fling my hair in disarray and panic!

We then proceeded to pull down the sheets ALL the way to the bottom of the bed. We then found another TINY (new) hatching of another bed bug!! We then also found a shedded skin of yet another bug.

That hotel lady seemed to take FOREVER to get to our room. Finally she came and I swiftly brought her into our room and I showed her the bug and told her that we had found 2 more signs of them. She looked and assured us that the infestation did not look that bad. She said that we should be fine by just switching rooms. But with me, I was NOT going to take any chances!!

I expressed my panic and state of exhaustion to her. She then expressed her apologies and assured us that she would assign us another 2 adjoining rooms and give us our money back for what we had already paid. RELIEF!! But……my work was just beginning.

EVERYTHING that I felt nervous about, ex.: our personal pillows, blankets, clothing, etc. went DIRECTLY into garbage bags that I asked the hotel for. We HAD to leave out our church clothes for the next day, but most of what we could spare went directly into those bags.

We began to wake up all the little ones and their tears of being tired and grumpy began! Their crying only further agitated my raw nerves, but it was at that point I had a decision to make. I could CHEERFULLY face this situation, or make an UGLY memory for my children to remember me by. I chose the first.

I told the children that EVERY item they carried to the NEW 2 rooms, they had to fervently PRAY over as they walked down the hall. Before going into the new rooms, Kaylee and I went there first and carefully inspected each bed! ALL CLEAR!

I TIGHTLY tied up each of the 3 HUGE garbage bags that we had and put them disgustingly into one of the bathtubs. FINALLY, everyone was settled back into their new beds and I felt ready to give “going to bed” another try.

I gingerly crawled into bed and after many “mental” itches, fell into a restless sleep. Just about 3 to 4 hours later, it was time to rise and shine for an entire day…..talking and smiling with people over and over that I had never met standing in my heeled, dress shoes.

My nerves were raw and little things seemed to irritate me. But, I tried SO hard to press on, even when I felt like a failure to my family. This whole escapade happened after 3 months of already GRUELING travels and my weary body just LONGED for the comforts of my clean, spacious home.

So, I pressed on, sang song after song after song while putting a smile on my bone-weary face and begged God inwardly for the strength to rise above my stinking flesh and have the beautiful aroma of Jesus about me!

I somehow managed to get through the day and our small children managed to follow instructions and keep their innocent mouths from blurting out the embarrassment of the previous night’s escapade.

We were FINALLY driving HOME and totally second guessing our supposed BRILLIANT plan to stay in a hotel. We were more thankful for our RV now and had learned a lesson NEVER to stay in a hotel room without checking the beds FIRST!!

On our way home, I called the bug control and asked for their advice on how to successfully approach the situation. We all traipsed into Wal*Mart at 12am (an hour still from home) and bought LOTS of bed bug spray. We then proceeded home and my work BEGAN!

No time for sleep and crashing into my comfortable bed at home!! There was preventative work to be done and I just did NOT want to chance bringing even ONE nasty creature into our home.

So, I gave CLEAR instructions to the family that not ONE thing was to be brought into the house until it had come by me first!!!! Everything was dumped into the garage and we all began to empty everything!! Load after load after load of laundry in HOT water kept being washed and dried. Suitcases were thoroughly sprayed by bug spray and every last thing was either sprayed or washed before being brought into our lovely home. (A few days later, our washer broke! – whoops! One TOO many BIG loads! – Ugh!) HOURS later, I finally felt ready to wobble up to bed.

When I laid my weary body in my clean bed, it never felt so cool, restful, and calming!! Every bone in my weary body said, “Aaaahhhh!!!”

We have never seen one sign up bed bugs (Praise the Lord) since getting back home and that was about 6 weeks ago. God was SO good to protect us!! THANK YOU, Jesus!!!

This whole analogy made me ask myself what God may be trying to teach me through this all and how I could share it with others. I then thought – MENTAL BED BUGS in mine and others lives!!!

You know? Those evil thoughts from Satan that say…….
-“You are a failure!
-Don’t witness and give the Gospel to that person, you may irritate them!
-You don’t measure up to so and so with either your looks, talent, or gifts.
– Why keep fighting for your marriage – just GIVE UP!!
-Why keep trying to raise up godly children- you fail all the time – JUST GIVE UP on constantly taking a stand on right and let your kids do whatever they want!!
-Why keep serving Jesus? The world’s way looks SO much more fun!
-Question God and WHY He allowed that in your life!! Don’t accept this as God’s will for you – BE BITTER!!
-That lady looked at you a little weird. She probably HATES you!
-Stop being so content and feel sorry for yourself! You certainly have the right to!!”
Etc., Etc., Etc.

Those little voices (from Satan and his demons and our old, wicked flesh) haunt us all the time!! They start to slowly sap from us (just like those old nasty bed bugs do our blood) our JOY!!

If we allow them to, they will begin to grow and multiply……just like bed bugs can so quickly do. They begin to itch and fester and grow until…….well, until there is SUCH an infestation, that it is now ALL we think about and our effectiveness for Christ is DESTROYED!!

Decide today to NIP IT IN THE BUD!! (Like Barney Fife – in the Andy Griffith Show used to say.) Take care of those feelings, doubts, fears, worries, and discontentment, among many other things!

Put them through the washing machine (prayer and Bible reading) and clean that out of your heart!! DO NOT alllow those thoughts and feelings to GROW in your life!

If you don’t…….well…….this is what you will see……..

-Broken homes
-Broken frienships
-Rebellious Children
-Lowered, sinful standards
-Shattered testimonies
-AND THE LIST GOES ON………..

Friend, I love you. I want to brighten the corner where God has planted me. I am SO far from perfect and if you could talk to God, well, He could SURELY give you a list a million miles long of how many times I have failed Him!!

However, I do pray that I can be a good advocate for Him and proclaim His truth in spite of my human tendencies.

I DO know this, God wants a RIGHTEOUS people. No, not stooped in self-righteous snob, but NOT afraid to proclaim TRUTH from God’s Word. Many times when we put SIN through the washing machine (or RULE BOOK – the BIBLE), it convicts people of the sin that they are (perhaps) living in and they deem you as self-righteous and judgemental. The truth is, is that their argument is with God – not you. However, it sounds much more convincing to their “itching” ears that YOU are the problem.

Keep in mind though, anything done without charity and the love of Christ, is done in the wrong spirit. But Christian, let’s get some back bone. Let us WASH OUT those bed bugs in our life!!

Let’s stop listening to those creepy, crawly voices of Satan and allowing it to rob our joy and convince us to “give in” because we don’t think that to wash it all out in our life is worth it – or we are just TOO TIRED to keep going against the current of the world’s trend and swim upstream!

Believe me, I KNOW that tired feel, both physically and spiritually, but to give up, is NEVER the answer!!

Let’s be proactive and GET RID OF THOSE BED BUGS IN OUR LIVES!!

I love you all!!

Fighting (With Love) For Truth,
Jill Rodrigues
I hope the Scriptures below confirm from God Himself what I have tried to get across today…….

1Pe 3:14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;

Ps 37:1 ¶ Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
7 ¶ Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.
15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.
18 The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
21 ¶ The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
28 For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
33 The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
34 ¶ Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
40 And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

Christmas time is here!

We actually had 3 MORE meetings in Kentucky that we forgot to get pictures from while there.  We were glad when the INTENSE schedule and traveling came to and end – just in time for the Christmas holidays.  We have enjoyed having about 7 weeks home to get caught up on MANY things – including LOTS of printing in the print shop.  David is excited about how God continues to grow that (printing) aspect of our ministry!!  Enjoy the few pics below of some of our time at home.  We leave for Florida on January 26h , 2017 for some more vigorous traveling!  Thank you again for your prayers for our family!!

My sweet parents - who are living in our RV when we are home and living in our home when we are traveling in our RV. They purchased a house 4 doors down from us and they are in the middle of getting it totally renovated and remodeled. They are making it fully handi-capped accessible for when my sister - Amy Foster (and her family) comes to visit. We have LOVED having my parents SO close!

Rodrigues Family went to Jeremy and Jinger’s (Duggar) wedding! (Watch on TLC on Nov. 15!)

Dear Followers,

We wanted to let you know what we did on November 5, 2016.  We posted in our last itinerary post that we had a secret of where we would be in Arkansas on November 5, 2016.  Well, in case you have not already figured it out, we were at Jinger Duggar’s wedding!  It was a BEAUTIFUL wedding and Jinger was radiant! Michelle was the most beautiful Mother of  Bride that I have ever seen!  Jim Bob and Michelle and their lovely children, are SO kind, humble and welcoming!  The Duggars are some of the nicest people you will ever meet!  Their fame has NOT gone to their heads!

We were SO blessed to be invited by the Duggar family to their lovely home and we hooked our RV up in their driveway and enjoyed the fellowship with them and some other friends after the ceremony and reception.  Then, the following morning, we enjoyed more time in their home singing, etc. and then went to their church and sang a few songs as a family.  The Duggar’s Pastor and his wife have seven children and they are delightful also!  The Duggar’s go to an amazing church!!

Out of DEEP respect to the Duggar’s privacy, we are not going to post any pictures at this time.  The wedding invitation and wedding program (pictured below) are special to us and we look forward to adding those and our new photos from the day to our home photo album!

We are not going to give any details about the wedding at this time also, due to the paparazzi that is on a constant look out for info. about the Duggars.  BUT, if you want to see the wedding, make sure to tune in to TLC’s special wedding edition of Jinger and Jeremy’s wedding on NOVEMBER 15th!!!

We love you all and are thankful for you!!  God bless you!

In the midst of all our intense traveling, our RV kept acting up.  It would go up hills at a snail’s pace and we had to leave HOURS early to get places on time. David had tried to fix everything he knew to fix, but wanted a professional to diagnose the problem.   Joel Catlin (a family friend and diesel mechanic), graciously traveled to our house (on their way to Texas for a Plexus Leaders Retreat) and help David FIX the entire exhaust manifold!  What a blessing!!  Now our RV goes up hills SO much faster!  LOL  THANK YOU, Joel and Betsy, for taking time out of your trip to help us!!

Thanks for reading and for following our family!  We appreciate your prayers and positive support!  It truly is an HONOR to serve Jesus!!  There are moments our flesh grows weary of the busy pace keeping up with everything, but when we think of bowing before our Lord someday, we know that it is worth it all!!  “It will be worth is all, when we see Jesus………Life’s trials will seem so small, when we see Christ.  One glimpse of His dear face, all sorrow will erase………so bravely run the race, til we see Christ!”

Serving Jesus With Joy,  The Rodrigues Family

“I Yelled At My Children!!” July 2016

I was getting caught up on my computer work a few nights ago and I kept stumbling on pictures, posts, etc., etc. of things that I KNEW would displease the Lord Jesus!  With a sigh IMG_0880from the depths of my soul………I read on.  Many seem to think life is just about one big party!

People that I have looked up to for years, begin to lower their standards.  Lady’s blouses slip quite a bit lower, girls put on pants (a male’s gender of clothing) shorts get higher and higher on the leg, lady’s cut their hair short and men grow theirs long.  The dress standard among most people has dropped so low, I don’t know how it could drop any lower??……………Unless the entire world turns into a “nudist colony”.  In New York City, they are already using “body paint” rather than clothing.  To find something good on the TV (although we do not have one) gets harder and harder to find and movies are filled with filth!  Double, Triple, Sighhhhh………..

Then, we as Christians sit back and say, “Isn’t it a shame where this world has gone!!” Sadly though, many times we are close behind the world and its sin!  I understand that certain things change with the culture and things that were deemed a NO, NO – a hundred years ago, are okay now.  If those changes do not include sin, then sure, we are bound to adapt to our culture.  However, when it defies what the Lord has put in place as our guide and boundary, I can’t help but wonder that we are quickly becoming a world similar to that of the days of Noah.  The difference is, is that if we are Christians, we have the Holy Spirit indwelling in us!!  What an advantage!!  Yet, we so readily ignore Him and His promptings (including me).

I guess I’m tired.  I’m tired of being (many times) the very rare minority that takes a stand.  Of course, we are NO better than anyone else……..just rather willing to be conservative in our standards.  Our children have seen what is out there in the way of “mate material”, and it makes them wonder, “Mama, will we find that godly mate that I am looking for?” (YES, God is able when we trust in Him – so put your worries to rest).

IMG_0814I am truly thankful for how young people have a desire to serve the Lord and many times head off to Bible college.  Maybe even some of our children will do that.  However, what worries me, is they think THAT is what makes them spiritual.  Yielding to CHRIST, is what makes us spiritual, and if Bible College is in that equation to learn more about the Word of God (and not to flirt with the opposite gender and have an independent, expensive social life), then great!

I surrendered my life to the Lord at 12 yrs. old for full-time service to Him.  However, for the next 27 years of my life, I grew up, got married, and I had baby after baby.  I folded (millions – at least it seemed so) of clothes, ironed, wiped dirty hands and faces, mopped floors, washed dishes, went into intense labor – baby after baby, read stories, did devotions and taught my children of God’s ways……….only to rise and do it all over again the next day.

Was I out front……..getting noticed??  NOOOO……..I was home throwing up from another pregnancy that made me sick, or changing a smelly diaper that made me sick, or dancing with pain as my swelled varicose veins throbbed from being on them for too long!  Yes………I chose to let God bless us with all these children (a step of faith and surrender that most IMG_0695Christians will NEVER take).  BUT – I am raising up an army for Christ and I feel HONORED that God has blessed us with twelve thus far!!!  These are things that you will never learn at Bible college.  To have grit determination in the face of many acts of service towards (sometimes it seems) a thankless job.  The fruit of my labor is just now starting to be seen and I thank God for that!!

He promises that………Ga 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

You can believe it………from this article alone, I will face much criticism.  But, it just shows people’s hearts are calloused towards sin and they have put up a protective wall around the areas they don’t want conviction or change in.

Normally I tread softly and speak sweetly and show love and grace (all good things……smile) but the ones that defend sin, are certainly never shy to boldly and without love and grace “DEFEND THEIR POSITION!”  I guess once in awhile, you just need that righteous anger that Jesus had when he overturned the tables!  What about God’s righteous indignation mentioned in the Bible.  Ps 106:40 Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.  Be angry (at sin) but sin not.  Eph 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not:

Remember, there is a time for everything under the sun………as stated in Ecclesiastes.  Ec 3:8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.  Where has our hatred gone for sin??  The common argument is that we are ALL sinners, so how can we be so judgemental??  YES, I SURE AM A WRETCH myself!! – But this should not diminish (or give me excuse) to overlook the filth of sin.

IMG_0364So, the more I sat at my computer, the more “fired up” I got!!  “Children!!” I called them all up to me.  Once they had all gathered around me, I said………

“Look at this picture!” as I flung my hand towards the computer.  It was then that I began my “Mama preaching session”.  (YES – women are to be silent in the church) but not with our children!  This is our GOLDEN opportunity to instill core character and a HATRED for sin in our children!! So, I began……………

“Boys, NEVER cheat on your wife – IT”S SIN – from the pits of hell!! Girls, never lower your dress standard – raise the bar HIGH!! Boys, keep your hair cut short, ( 1Co 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?) and girls keep it long (1Co 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.) “

“DON’T do drugs, smoke, drink, swear, view pornography!!  Stay away from gambling, and from ever stealing!!”

“LIVE RIGHTEOUS – UNTIL THE STARS FALL!!  Remember, Pr 15:3 ¶ The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.”!!!!!!  and much more!…….

My children looked at me with wide eyes and I could see the passion for doing Alligator Farm 6right……..creep onto their own precious faces & eyes.  When I finish with talks like that, they always begin to start talking rapidly and we have a blessed family discussion on sin and the DARK, DEATHLY places it will take you!!  Praise God for the light of God’s Word!!  “Ps 119:105 ¶  Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

Moms out there, DON’T be afraid to raise your voice in PASSION for what you believe in!!  Once your children are grown and gone, your chance at intense training is over!  YES…….a balance of love and discipline is crucial, but don’t forget how crucial the training is!!  “Proverbs 29:15 ………….a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.  Pr 22:6 ¶ Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

I remember as a little girl, Jack Hyles preaching and telling us that his Mama used to TRAMPLE on “mock” cigarettes, drugs, and alcohol, pornography, etc. and EXCLAIM to her children “NEVER do these things!!!!  They will RUIN your life!”  (That’s the best I remember the story), but how it impressed upon me!

Where have the Moms with back-bone gone?  Yes, we need to have self-control and patience, but let us not confuse that with thinking we need to have a tolerance of sin!!……..especially when it comes to training the treasures that God has entrusted to us!!

IMG_0491I do NOT boast myself of tomorrow, for I know not what a day may bring forth.  However, I am thrilled to say that up-to-date, we have obedient, pleasant, joyful children (and that includes a 17,16,15,14, and 13 year olds!).  ALL praise to Jesus and His ways!!

That success thus far is ALL due to following the Lord and HIS principles!!  God really has designed a simple plan.  YES,  we love our children to death, but we are NOT afraid to have them corrected by others or by us when they do wrong.  So many parents cringe at any type of correction of wrong doing that “their precious babies” are accused of.  Why is it, that when it comes to our children, we defend their poor choices or character??  Don’t be afraid to call sin what it is – including with your own darling children.  They WILL thank you for it someday.

But then, don’t forget to praise their good character and be their cheer-leader and encourager!!  Again, have that balance!

Was my voice raised to a “yelling” level!  You bet is was!!  In JESUS NAME – I will fight against the wiles of the devil!!  For he is a ROARING LION – seeking whom he may devour!!

WARN and SHOUT to your children ****CAUTION**** and ****BEWARE****!!!  Put on the whole armour of  God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil!!  It’s SO important!

Moms, be a loving Mama – sweet, kind, loving, good housekeeper and godly wife (among other things) BUT – don’t be afraid call sin what it is – EVIL!

Remember…………Mt 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:IMG_0496

I love you all!                  Passionate for Righteousness,  Jill R.

We  are thankful that we had a past couple of REALLY busy weeks doing VBS, Revival Services and presenting our work at a church we had never been to in Ohio.  Now we are home and have the rest of the month of July off!  It is the first time I have had this much time at home since December!  It feels like such a treat and I have a whole list of things I want to get done before leaving.  We have just a few closer meetings in August and then in the fall time, our schedule gets pretty busy and full again.  The Lord knows just when we need more time at home.  He is SO good to us!  Below are some more pictures of our last trip.

David & the Pastor and a couple of other men, played the "policing" cowboys in this skit - telling Timothy he MUST come to VBS! It was SO funny!

It was such a pleasure and surprise to meet a distant relative on the Lupole side (Cindy Drage) show up to one of the church services. She had read our itinerary and had seen where we were going to be. We were about a half hour away from where she lived and it was our honor to meet this sweet lady!

Nurie specifically prayed that God would help her to be able to lead someone to the Lord. This girl was one person that did get saved! Her name is Ny'jaya. Nurie was THRILLED at this answered prayer!

From there, we headed to Ohio to my nephew - Levi's - graduation from highschool! He is the first grandchild (of my-Jill's- parents) to reach this milestone. It is very emotional because it was also GOODBYE for Levi....as he has enlisted in the military and will be going to basic training the beginning of August......sniff, sniff. Levi loves the Lord and wants to continue to serve Him in the military, but he does feel peace that this is what God wants for him. Guns, knives, and action have always been Levi's interests. Bonn voyage, Levi!!

Well, as I mentioned earlier, we plan to be home the rest of July and only have a few meetings in August.  I have already made phone-calls to the local jails and prisons to try to come up with a time that I can go into those facilities and share the blessed hope of the Gospel with the female inmates.  Also, I have a meeting to meet with the manager at a local Pregnancy Crisis Center to try to volunteer my time there and perhaps give our “Choose Life, Not Abortion” Gospel tracts to them to pass out to the ladies?  Please pray with me regarding these ministries becoming a reality.  David has been VERY busy at work in the print shop since getting home and he already has a LARGE amount of John & Romans that he has compiled and designed a sharp looking cover for.  We are just SO honored to be serving the Lord full-time!  We try to stay busy – to be found worthy of all of our dear supporters support.  Well, I must go.  I have a radio broadcast I do weekly, and I am due to send in another series of those devotionals (geared for ladies).

One more thing I would like to mention is that our church is heading up the “God Bless America Crusade” for this upcoming Sept. 11th Sunday.  We look forward to helping out with those efforts.  The prayer is that 2,000 souls will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!  Please pray that these efforts will not be in vain and that a nationwide revival will start right here in West Virginia!!

I OWE It AAAALLLL to my Jesus,   Jill Rodrigues
